Getting to understand the relevance of a white shirt from a mature generation.

Why do you have white shirt?

- It’s not something I can wear for no reason. To me a white shirt is elegant, it is clean, it has dignity, and it has good intentions to it. That’s why I wear it.

When would you wear a white shirt?

- Only on special occasions, Christmas, Easter, weddings. The main aim of the shirt for me is for whoever is wearing it to be realised. You cant not have one.

A lot of people wear them every day. How do you feel about that?

- I don’t feel any way about it, I don’t agree with men wearing colourful shirts at weddings, especially when it concerns their child. It looks tacky, and it’s not respectful. Ages ago in Poland back when there were no cars, just horses, and during the time of development. Only Elite, rich people would wear white shirts. If you were poor and found wearing a white shirt, it’d be assumed that you’ve stolen it and you would be shamed. You wouldn’t be able to get ahold of it like you can nowadays. That’s why I only wear it when I have to.

Aside from special occasions, who else in your opinion should wear a white shirt every day?

- Pilots and bus drivers are the first people I think of.

Why?

- Because they have to be respected. They have to care for strangers every single day. The shirt gives them respect, and dignity, its clean and crisp. When you see someone professionally dressed you trust them instantly (concerning travel) If your pilot came to you in a tracksuit, how would you feel?
